We are one of Stroud’s principal travel clinics providing comprehensive medical advice for overseas travel.
The Travel Clinic is a private clinic based at Beeches Green Surgery, Stroud, GL5 4BH.
Services offered
This is a non-NHS clinic available to people both registered and not registered at Beeches Green Surgery.
The aims of this service is to:
- To promote safe travel
- To assess risk
- To provide appropriate information
- To provide appropriate anti-malarial advice, including bite protection, and drugs for prevention of malaria
- To provide appropriate vaccination
- To provide information about traveller’s diarrhoea
- To provide information and appropriate vaccinations for Yellow Fever
The clinic is particularly appropriate for complicated trips i.e. visiting more than one country, gap year students, school groups and business/work related trips.

Other vaccinations
Varivax (Chickenpox)
Chickenpox is a very common illness caused by the varicella-zoster virus. The chickenpox vaccine offers effective protection for patients who have not had chickenpox before.
It is available to children from 12 months up to the age of 65. It consists of two injections given at least 28 days apart.
